Why are vet costs so high?

We often get asked why veterinary costs are as high as they are. Some assume veterinarians are making gobs of money, and these pet parents want to know if the prices are justified.

Well, we know animals, like humans, have expensive taste in healthcare, But there are other factors.

The high cost of veterinary care is justified based on the high cost of veterinary training, the high overhead of veterinary clinics, and the fact that medications are expensive and have a limited shelf life.

Vets cannot pay their staff in kibble! There is also the time and resources veterinary care takes, and medical equipment is costly. Sadly, animals do. not have bank accounts, so the costs are passed along to owners.

If only Animals could google, figure out the problem, and treat themselves with natural plants and soil they dig up in our yards. Oh, yep, that is why our landscaping costs are so high!
